• All individuals entering the competition halls, including competitors, teachers, family members, and spectators, must have a valid daily wristband for admission.
  There are two ways to obtain a wristband:

• 1. HOTEL BLOCK GUESTS

  • Attendees staying within the official event hotel block will receive wristbands based on:
    The number of registered occupants listed on the reservation, and
    The number of nights reserved within the official hotel block.
    Each registered guest will receive one daily wristband for each night booked.

    • Example:
      A reservation with 4 registered occupants staying 3 nights will receive 12 total wristband days (4 people × 3 nights).

  • Only individuals whose names appear on the hotel reservation are eligible to receive wristbands through the hotel block. 
    Wristbands are issued only for event days corresponding to the nights reserved within the official hotel block and may not be transferred between attendees or event days.

• 2. NON-HOTEL BLOCK ATTENDEES

  • Any attendee who is not staying within the official hotel block must purchase spectator wristbands.

  • Southern California Residents

    • Attendees whose primary residence falls within the Southern California resident zip code area (90000-93599) may purchase wristbands for:

      • Registered Competitors: $0 person, per day

      • All Others: $25 per person, per day

  • Non-Southern California Residents

    • Attendees residing outside the qualifying Southern California resident zip code area who are not staying within the official hotel block must purchase wristbands for:

• All attendees, including registered competitors: $100 per person, per day 

• *The current list of qualifying Southern California resident zip codes are 90000-93599. 
  *All wristbands must be purchased in advance. Additional details regarding wristband sales and distribution will be provided prior to the event.

• Please note: Any individuals who falsely claim non-receipt of wristbands in order to reverse payment through their bank will be prohibited from attending future WUSR Oireachtasí.

• Why We Require Hotel Block Participation

  • Hosting an event of this scale costs significantly more than what dancer entry fees alone can support. By partnering with hotels through block agreements, we are able to secure vital benefits such as ballroom space, competition stages, meals and rooms for Adjudicators and Musicians—without dramatically raising entry fees. Without these hotel partnerships, entry costs would need to be approximately triple their current rates to cover all expenses.
